On 6th February 2023, a devastating earthquake struck Türkiye and Syria, claiming over 70,000 lives and leaving countless families in urgent need of support. In response, Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF UK) acted swiftly. Our teams held an emergency coordination meeting and boarded the earliest available flight to deliver aid on the ground.
Since then, FGRF UK has worked tirelessly to provide both emergency relief and long-term support to affected communities.
In Syria, we have built 300 permanent homes for orphans and constructed a school, offering shelter, education, and a renewed sense of safety for vulnerable children and families who lost everything. These homes stand as symbols of hope and resilience in the face of tragedy.
In Türkiye, we established over 100 container homes to house displaced families. These units have provided immediate safety and stability for people left without shelter, giving them a secure space to begin rebuilding their lives.
In addition to shelter, FGRF has delivered essential supplies to thousands of families. Our relief efforts have included:
Our ongoing efforts continue to bring relief, comfort, and dignity to those affected by the disaster. The FGRF response to the Türkiye and Syria earthquake reflects the values of compassion, unity, and humanitarian action, and stands as a testament to what can be achieved when communities come together in solidarity.
